I had hoped to photograph Gwyn’s birth, but she was quite the independent baby and took even her own mother by surprise with her unusual birth story!

The super momma’s baby girl!

Gwyneth was such a sweet little sleeper. She’s such a tiny little thing–I think she’s the smallest baby I’ve photographed at 5 1/2 lbs!

Gavin was all smiles for me for pictures with his baby sister!

Kassidi and Erik are one of the cutest couples you will ever meet. They have known each other since childhood, but with as cute as they are together you’d think they’d just met! We met up a few weeks ago for their engagement pictures about 10 minutes away from the studio in Black Forest. We had a perfect autumn morning for their portraits!

I love this spot. The fence, the trees, the autumn leaves–perfect spot for romantic engagement photos!

They have the cutest laughs!

Kassidi is going to make such a beautiful bride!

My friend Jamie and I cooked up a highly stylized shoot that we couldn’t wait to try with our own kiddos but knew we wouldn’t ever do without someone else to help make it happen! A queen sized bed in one of the fields here at the studio. Here are a couple of my favorites of my two:

I love the poses kids will end up in when you simply don’t pose them:

Ellie and Will love to play games on Will’s bed where his bed is a boat, so I had to work that into the shoot!

What we didn’t know that day was that Ellie and I were coming down with strep throat. What we did know was that we both didn’t feel so hot:

I credit Jamie with the fact that we have any happy shots of Ellie at all!

This is a long overdue peek at the adorable Cuillier family. We had so much fun at their shoot! Heather is so much fun to work with and I hope I get to photograph her family many more times–I just love them!

When this sweet momma got out of the car my head immediately went to that Annie song because this family is drippin’ with little girls! Four little girls to be exact! (Which actually was my dream family plan until Will came along!)

This little peanut has so many loving big sisters!

I really love senior portrait season, although, as a friend mentioned today, these gorgeous girls do make us feel old and ugly!

This next shot is my favorite, because I made a complete idiot of myself setting it up. I was demonstrating the pose, and I started to sit down on the stool saying “So you’re going to sit down…” and as I sat the stool fell over and I went toppling in slow motion backwards finishing my sentence as I fell with “not at all like this!” After a brief laughter break we put the stool on a patch of more stable ground and tried again!

Remember this cutie? Chloe’s back, and cuter than ever!

Chloe is the happiest baby I’ve ever seen. Chris and Courtney must have been VERY good to be given such an easy little sweetheart!

What do you get when you cross a gorgeous evening with a couple that is super fun and easy to work with? A LOT of pictures! There were so many keepers from this shoot!

I am so eager for Kristina and Rick’s wedding–they are such super sweet people that I could photograph them all day long. And one day not so long from now I’ll get to!
