I lucked out twice at this shoot.  Not only are they the sweest family with the best behaved boys in the world, but when we got to Fox Run Park, there was still snow on the ground!  Can’t get better than a shoot that’s in the 60s but still has snow on the ground!

I’m not kidding when I say that these were the sweetest best behaved boys I have ever met.  I wanted to wrap them up and take them home.  Only I’m pretty sure Will would corrupt them.

Gabriel and I became best buds quickly when I discovered that he is quite the Wii master.  We’d just got a Wii a day or two before the shoot, so Gabriel gave me some awesome Lego Starwars game tips.  So when I went home that afternoon and played with Nic, I was able to say things like “press A twice to double-jump” or “Gabriel told me to press C to switch to a friendly character.”  A couple of times I was a little tempted to call Gabriel for more tips.

I love this shot of Michael.  It makes me smile.

A quick sneak peek for Breanne and her sweet family from their mini shoot before we close for a little break.

Meet Jack.  Jack is three:

SUPER CUTE.

Meet Lauren. She’s one!

She had a high chair in her room just like the one my photographer pal Lisa uses to make adorable pictures!

Together, Jack and Lauren are AMAZINGLY CUTE.

And when you add in their mom, Anna, the cuteness starts to get a little ridiculous.

And when Jack wears a hat, the cuteness DEFINITELY gets ridiculous.

(I have been wanting to get a kid to play in the leaves since I saw the brilliant Maria Grace’s fall shots.  I was all about stealing prop ideas yesterday, apparently!)

And when the hat comes off, he’s still just plain cute!

I spent a wonderful afternoon with these three and captured a mountain of adorable portraits.  It was a joy to meet them, and I’m so thrilled with the pictures it’s all I can do not to blog them all!

Be warned: there are some seriously adorable boys in this post! I was so excited that the weather held out for my shoot with Brittney and her family. I got some of my favorite ever family portraits at this shoot!  It’s really hard not to make this post 40 pictures long!

It thrills me to get a shot that I immediately want to paste my own family’s heads into:

Poor Ben arrived not quite ready for pictures and only ready for his mom’s lap.  I loved it.  If reminded me of my Will!

We switched settings and the boys took turns telling their mom jokes:

A funny one that I love because it happens to me so often.  All part of being a mom!

Jack rolled up his jeans so he could get his feet in the water and I knew we needed some Huck Finn style shots!  I asked the boys to tell each other three things they liked about their brother and their answers were so cute.!  Jack was all “I like that you play with me” and Ben [the younger brother] had the hero worship “you are funny” “you are smart” “you are cool” answers.

Shifting back to 2008, I had the whole crew sit in the grass for some family chat time.

The boys love talking about football with their grandpa!

Ben is such a serious little guy–I love his quiet thoughtfulness!

I got him to show me his clover treasures that he collected:

Jack has the most impressive knowledge of football!

Some people use telephoto lenses to sneak up on birds and animals.  I use them to sneak up on boys!

There’s nothing cuter than two brothers on an adventure!

I photographed the cutest family this past week!

I am so in love with this little boy and all of his cuteness!

And his big sister and all of her princess-like ways!

They were rocking the mini shoot (which includes the digital files for 12 pictures) and it was so hard to narrow it down to 12, since they were all about being adorable. See?
