Because of our tight timing, we ended up doing the shoot immediately after JJ’s 8th birthday party at my grandpa’s pool. This is not generally recommended for anyone under 30, but the kids did really well, and their parents managed not to kill them under the stress (I can’t say I would have done as well under the circumstances!). Gretchen picked the most perfect location–I could tell she knew what I like when she mentioned that the spot had lots of tall weeds!
