best of 2010 wedding photos / the men

The girls had their turn…now it’s time for our favorite three photos of the guys!  (Although the girls still managed to sneak their way into the first two!)

Wedding portrait – groom (Zack is amazing to photograph–it’s so rare for a groom to look at the lens and Just Be like Zack did):  Wedding at the Pines at Genesse

Wedding portrait – groom (Laura and Ken battled a very rainy day, but we snuck up to their hotel room for some beautiful window-lit portraits–Ken even had a few posing requests, which I loved!): Wedding at Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows

Wedding portrait – groomsmen (This comes from one of our most fun shoots with the guys–after getting dressed the groom and groomsmen walked down to Mustards Last Stand for lunch.  My favorite part of the day was when a very concerned onlooker informed me that [a] a hot dog place is a very strange location for photos and [b] that we were missing the bride.  You could tell that she seriously doubted my credentials as a wedding photographer and half expected me to start shooting everything with my iPhone.)  Wedding at University of Denver

best wedding photos 2010 / bride and groom’s ‘first look’

Time for another ‘best of 2010′ wedding photos post! (And–psst–Morgan–there’s a pre-sneak-peek photo for you here!)

Some of our couples opt to have their ‘first look’ occur before the ceremony.  For some it’s a matter of timing–if your ceremony is after dark you’ll want to do your portraits ahead of time.  For some it’s a matter of wanting to enjoy their cocktail hour.  For some it’s wanting to have those first moments on the wedding day a little more private.  For me, I love watching the first looks.  Couples bring their own style to it, and it can be a quiet nervous moment, a moment of pure glee and anticipation, or a snuggle-y lovey one where all the nerves of the day disappear.  Whatever they bring to the table, I love that it is all them–we just stand back and watch it unfold.
