Brooke took me to one of her family’s favorite spots for her senior portraits. The weather wasn’t what she’d been hoping for, but I think shooting inside of a cloud made it even cooler! The atmosphere in the photos is definitely more unique than a sunny day!

Brooke is sooooo pretty!

Check out the color of those eyes!

I loved this door!

This would normally be where I wrap up a sneak peek, but I had too many favorites!

I met with Savannah last week to shoot her senior portraits and we had so much fun exploring Colorado Springs together. She’s a fellow photographer, so it was a blast to show her a spot and watch her do something amazing in it!
She is so incredibly beautiful! I can’t believe she’s more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it!

When I spotted this little log and got excited, she walked right over to it and hopped up on it like this. So totally adorable!

We found lots of great little spots…

I completely adore the color of the weeds in this shot!

There’s a great spot of unused train tracks next to the main train tracks through town that’s perfect for pictures. (I’m a sissy when it comes to train track safety and feel compelled to point out that these shots are from an area that is used to hold cars with plaques that say things like “property of the railroad museum.”)

That museum property makes such a good prop!

Savannah is definitely a photographer. Because just out of frame in this shot is a big pile of dog-poo. But it was the only patch of ground that would work for this shot, so she handled it like a champ! (And then went home to bathe in bleach.)

Right off the pages of a magazine…

Kelly heard about us from one of our 2007 senior portrait clients: Laura D . And just like Laura, Kelly is gorgeous, personable, and completely photogenic! She made being a photographer easy!

Ummm…yeah. I would kill for eyes like those!

She was a natural model. Her smiles and expressions were always exactly right!

We had the pleasure of taking Mindy’s sister’s senior portraits on Friday. We did a combined engagement and senior portrait shoot (Andrea drove down from Denver with Mindy and Brett), and it was fantastic that it worked out that way, because Nic got to take some senior portraits, too! (Normally I fly solo on senior shoots.)
Here’s one of his fantastic shots of Andrea (we spent some quality time under this tree escaping the rain):

Another “hide from the rain” strategy!

Andrea is so cute and fun, I knew we needed a trip to the orange wall. (Don’t get me started on how jealous I am that Andrea can run around in drizzle for an hour and still have hair that looks this good!)

Manitou Springs has so many hidden spots:

This is my favorite. Check out that light! (Kudos go to Nic for being Reflector Master on this one.)

Another new fun photo frame option:

Thanks again, Andrea, for being so easy to photograph! We hope you enjoy your senior year!
