The weather was conspiring against us for Jack’s senior portraits (it started to downpour just as we arrived), so we raced to relocate his session to Palmer Park (where we didn’t see a drop of rain–gotta love Colorado Spring’s isolated showers)!

Jack is an amazing guy and if I had a teenage daughter (or even a toddler daughter) I’m pretty sure I would have arranged their marriage on the spot.

Jack’s gorgeous sister was the unofficial stylist of the shoot and so we got some shots of them together:

Jack carried her up a rock since platform shoes aren’t really made for rock climbing and I got some of my favorite pictures from the shoot out of it!

After the storm had passed, we made our way back to Manitou Springs for some shots at spots they’d seen while having lunch that day. I wanted to stop at some abandoned train cars Nic and I spotted last week:

Looking for Senior Reps

Our Colorado Springs senior portrait rep ad went live this week. We are looking for Senior Portrait Reps that are graduating in 2009 (current juniors who will be seniors this fall) at Colorado Springs, Falcon, and Peyton high schools.

If you made your way here from the ad, welcome! Our senior rep program has a bunch of great benefits:

Class of 2009 Senior Portrait Reps

2009 senior portrait rep ad

This is a drive by posting…we’re very busy right now with wedding meetings!

There are two days left to enter our Real Couple of the Year contest. We are booking lots of ‘08 weddings, but everyone is too shy to enter the contest! We currently have only three entries…and there are four spaces for finalists! You’re practically guaranteed a spot in the finals if you enter!

It’s time to begin the search for Class of 2009 Senior Reps! If you know anyone that is currently a junior in a Colorado Springs high school and would like free senior portraits and a yearbook photo, send them over!

Jessica’s senior portraits

I think I can safely say that Jessica is my last senior session this year. The yearbook deadline is Friday, so this was as last minute as they get!

I loved our session–I have so many favorites. Jessica is beautiful and so much fun. She was game for anything and a total natural in front of the camera! And best of all, she lives in the Broadmoor area of Colorado Springs, just minutes away from the zoo…which endeared her to me instantly. Gotta love anyone that lives near a zoo that lets you feed the giraffes!

Here are a few from our session in Manitou Springs:

more of the gorgeous Shannon

Here are a few more pictures from my session with Shannon. Shannon is a die-hard Coke fan whose heart was broken when she failed the Coke vs. Pepsi taste test not once, but twice. (The first time the results were invalidated when we realized the Coke had expired two years ago…) She doesn’t know it, but she actually loves Pepsi. :)
