the next generation of real photography

Will’s grandma is visiting us this week and spoiling him within an inch of his life.They were at the store today and at the check-out Will spotted a bright pink princess toy camera that he went for immediately (no one has told him yet that pink and princesses are for girls). His grandma swapped it for a blue version and the kid was in hog heaven. When I got home this afternoon he was taking pictures of everything. His toys, his family…and telling them “smile!”

He’s 100% sure that the lens side of the camera goes toward your face…so he probably won’t be third shooting for us at any point in the immediate future, but he certainly has the photographer stance down!

My favorite part of the evening was when he took a picture of his new soccer ball and then thrust the camera at me saying “picture!” He grabbed the ball and hugged it to his face, ready for his close-up. Certainly a first! I was so sad that it was a fake picture I was taking and not a real one!

We had a busy weekend with a wedding and a senior portrait shoot, so there will be some good sneak peeks this week. In other behind-the-scenes news, after many months of being broken, my comments are finally fixed and looking pretty! I wanted to give a shout out to Shane for getting my comments all fixed and shiny after I gave up on fixing it myself. He’s a great person to go to for website work!
