Poor Lucy–we had to reschedule her portrait shoot twice before the weather cooperated! But the delay was well worth it–we had absolutely beautiful light as we tromped around a construction site and ditch that I’d been wanting to use (I’m a sucker for those tall yellow daisies)!
Sometimes I lie and say I’m just playing around with my settings when really I’m catching awesome expressions like this one!

I really love senior portrait season, although, as a friend mentioned today, these gorgeous girls do make us feel old and ugly! :P
This next shot is my favorite, because I made a complete idiot of myself setting it up. I was demonstrating the pose, and I started to sit down on the stool saying “So you’re going to sit down…” and as I sat the stool fell over and I went toppling in slow motion backwards finishing my sentence as I fell with “not at all like this!” After a brief laughter break we put the stool on a patch of more stable ground and tried again!
