Sam came by the studio this week for his baby portraits. I saw a shoot recently that was all white and wanted to try it with Sam–I think it’s such a fun way to focus on their personality, and in Sam’s case, that is the personality of a total charmer! Heather sat him down on the backdrop and he immediately had a grin for me. What a sweetheart!

We grabbed a few portraits of his sisters, too! This face Marley gave me was too hilarious!

Katie and Marshall are sooooo cute! We didn’t get lucky with the weather, but with outfits this cute and such a fun loving couple who cares? :) I can’t wait to see what their wedding will bring! Thanks so much to Danielle from Entwined for referring them!

4 month old Ali came to the studio yesterday with her lovely momma for some baby portraits! Ali was an absolute gem–after napping on the way down from Denver she was full of happy smiles for me! Her hair stands straight up in spite of her momma’s best efforts (which I loved!) and we made the best of our gorgeous weather to take a few outside!

I had so much fun with Nikki and Chris at their engagement shoot last month that I couldn’t wait for their New Years Eve wedding at the Space Gallery in Denver! Jamie Smith got to be my second shooter for the day, and we had a wonderful night capturing this family! (And we may have come to blows on just whose daughter gets to marry adorable little Liam, but that’s a story for a different post…) ;)

Nikki and Chris are so in love–we captured so many amazing candid pictures of them that look staged their so perfect and full of love! Like these first two of the bride and groom immediately after the wedding ceremony…

(As you can see, the bagpipes during the cocktail hour made a big impression on the little girls! The shot of the girls fleeing up the stairs as the bagpiper approaches cracks me up every time I look at it!)

I could do an entire post with about 1000 pictures from the first dance–that is just a tiny snippet!

After several hours of dancing, it was time for the count down to midnight. I just love the idea of a New Years Eve wedding–what a wonderful way to welcome in the new year–your new life together ready to begin!
